Introducing OCHI

Have you ever wondered why you connect so easily with some people and find it challenging with others? The answer often lies in our different behavioural footprint……

Definition:

Behaviour /bɪˈheɪvjə/ noun “the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially towards others”.

Context

With over 8 billion people globally, acknowledging that everyone has a unique behavioural footprint is key to success in both business and personal relationships. Even though there are only four behavioural footprints, meaning yours is shared by about 2 billion others, it also means 6 billion people have a different behavioural profile than you. This makes the need for stronger relationship skills more critical than ever before.

OCHI is a powerful, proven method for improving communication and connectivity. For businesses, OCHI boosts mental wellbeing by reducing conflict and tension, creates a more harmonious environment, and drives improved performance and productivity. It does this by teaching us how to communicate and connect more effectively.

Your OCHI journey begins by gaining insights into your own behavioural footprint by completing our easy to use My OCHI Discovery questionnaire.

Guidelines for completing My OCHI Discovery Questionnaire.

It’s vital to remember that your behavioural profile, when assessed by this questionnaire, reflects how others perceive you. This might differ from your self-perception or your ideal self-image. When completing the questionnaire it’s important to take on board a few things:

  • Be honest about how you generally ‘come across’ to those around you.
The questionnaire consists of 14 pairs of statements. Answer the statement from each pair that you think most accurately reflects how other people see you.
  • TAKE YOUR TIME to make sure the answer you are providing most accurately reflects others’ perceived behaviours of you.
  • If you think neither statement (in a pair) reflects how you “come across” to others, choose the statement that is closest to a reflection of your own behaviour.
  • There are no good or bad styles.
  • WARNING! You may be tempted to repeat the questionnaire. Decades of experience has taught us that people who complete the questionnaire on multiple occasions tend to “fudge” their answers to artificially generate the outcome they want. If you have been careful with your answer choices on the first “take”; then this most accurately describes your behavioural style.
  • A word about Personality and Behaviour: Personality and behaviour are related but distinct aspects of who we are. Personality refers to the relatively stable and enduring patterns of thoughts, feelings, and predispositions that characterise an individual. Behaviour, on the other hand, encompasses the observable actions, responses, and mannerisms that individuals exhibit in various situations.

After completing My OCHI Discovery questionnaire.

After completing My OCHI Discovery questionnaire, your behavioural footprint will be revealed. A short statement will detail your behavioural strengths, weaknesses, essential needs, and areas for development. While this initial insight is foundational to your awareness, it’s just the start of your OCHI journey. The next stages focus on recognising and understanding the other three behavioural styles, learning flexing techniques, culminating in a tailored personal development plan to foster stronger relationships with them.
